Trades wanted, Toronto/GTA: painters, drywall & tapers, flooring, plumbers, carpenters

Safeway Demo & Environmental Services does asbestos, mould, demolition, water and fire restoration, and the rebuild that follows. The rebuild is where we need more hands. We are looking for painters, drywall and tapers, flooring installers, plumbers, carpenters and trim, insulation installers, and labourers, to take parts of our jobs, either on your own account (subcontract) or on our crew by the hour. How it works: jobs come to your phone; you ask for the ones you want and the office confirms who gets each one. Pay is set before you start and is on your screen when the job is. You check in and out from your phone and invoice from the same place. Pay: crew starts at $21 an hour for new people, more with experience. Subcontract work is paid per job, set before you accept it. What to send: your trade and how long you have done it, photos of your last few jobs, and your hourly rate and day rate. A résumé is optional. Own tools and a way to get to the job. WSIB and insurance if you work on your own account. What happens next: a person reads every application, then a phone interview, then an in-person meeting with your tools. If we go ahead, you sign the Safeway agreement, which includes the site and workplace rules and a clause that you do not take Safeway's clients for your own work during the engagement or for 12 months after.
