Postings that show pay get about a third more applicants. It is also required in Ontario if you have 25 or more employees.
  • Aim for 300 to 700 words. Longer posts get fewer applications, because people scan for a few details.
  • List no more than 5 or 6 must-haves. Put the rest under a short "nice to have" line. Long requirement lists scare off people who could do the job.
  • Say the shift pattern and the start date if you know them.
