# Part-Time Line Cook **Kinton Ramen Markville – Markham, ON** ### Position Overview Kinton Ramen Markville is looking for a reliable, energetic, and hardworking **Part-Time Line Cook** to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking food according to Kinton Ramen standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and supporting the overall kitchen operation. ### Responsibilities * Prepare and portion food items efficiently and accurately * Prepare and stock ingredients, garnishes, and line products * Follow recipes, cooking methods, and company standards * Monitor food temperatures and report any concerns * Check food quality and freshness * Maintain assigned par levels * Keep the kitchen and workstations clean, organized, and sanitary * Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and serviceware * Operate and maintain the dishwasher as required * Complete trash and waste duties * Follow proper food storage, inventory, and receiving procedures * Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health and safety policies * Work as part of a team to provide a positive guest experience * Perform other kitchen duties as assigned ### Qualifications * Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is an asset * Minimum 1 year of restaurant kitchen or cooking experience is preferred * Food Handler or Food Safety certification is an asset * Strong communication skills in English * Japanese or French is an asset * Able to work in a fast-paced environment * Reliable, energetic, and willing to learn * Strong teamwork and communication skills * Able to maintain a clean and organized work environment ### Availability * **Part-time position** * Minimum **15 hours per week** * Flexible availability required * Must be available for mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays ### Physical Requirements * Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift * Comfortable working in hot and cold kitchen environments * Able to bend, kneel, stoop, twist, turn, and reach * Able to lift up to 40 lbs. * Able to perform repetitive kitchen and food preparation tasks ### Health & Safety Employees must follow all applicable occupational health and safety requirements, as well as company policies regarding food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety. ### Diversity & Accommodation Kinton Ramen is committed to employment equity and diversity in the workplace.
